Rhonda’s Thoughts
Hey Friends! Woops- It’s March and I’m realizing I haven’t blogged in a while. I guess maybe I’ve been wrapped up doing the things God has called me to do. Here is an update of what’s going on with me- Not in any particular order, of course!
Music-
I’ve had a great time singing at various events and as always at my church. It’s pretty cool to worship in church settings, but I’m thankful for the opportunities to sing in other venues as well. God always shows up where His children gather regardless of where we are.
I’ve been back in the studio working on a couple of songs. I’m really loving “Grace To Stand.” It’s an inspirational tune co-written with Rob Patz of SGMradio/SGNScoops. I have a couple more songs really close to being finished as well. My song “Second Chances” is being played on sgmradio, locally and several other stations across the country. Yay! I love Second Chances- it’s my testimony song.
I’m still praying about how I should get my music “out.” I have been approached by radio promoters- but I’m not so sure that’s direction God has for me. Until I’m completely sure, I’m going to wait. God is still giving me songs- I wrote a new one a couple weeks ago. Thank you, Jesus!
My first tv appearance aired in January! If I understood correctly- this program was available to 15 million homes! Oh MY!!
Special thanks to Dale Burress of Southern Style Praise. You can visit http://www.krbb.org/ click on members then Southern Style Praise to view. Hopefully next time I will relax a little bit!
Thanks again, Dale!
Mini Music-
I LOVE dancing and singing with my precious darlings! We have the best time. Be sure to check out the photo gallery on the website. Hopefully soon, I will have a slide show to go along with my song “Least of These.”
Writing-
I’m really enjoying writing for sgnscoops.com. I’m really blessed to be writing along side of so many talented writers. Kelly Burton has done an amazing job as editor/chief and I’m completely blessed to have a small part of this ministry. My column is called “Faith Boost” and is intended to encourage believers in their faith and to challenge everyone to share their faith as well. Stats are showing 25,000 downloads each month. Be sure to check it out at http://www.sgnscoops.com/ Look at the left side of the page, click on the magazine cover for the current issue. Give it a couple of minutes to download. (free download)
Worship-
I really love leading worship! Maybe it’s just that I love to worship! I’m really proud of our team at church. I love playing the keyboard with my band- they are the best. We have bonded, meshed and have really grown ‘tight.” The team truly blesses my heart. In addition to leading worship at my church, I have been asked to be the worship leader for the Chattanooga Chapter of Walk to Emmaus. I have served as music leader on a couple of womens walks and words can’t begin to express the blessings! I am very thankful for my Emmaus family and to lead in worship is truly an honor.
Church Ministry-
Serving at Rockpointe Worship as Associate Pastor is a blessing. It’s amazing to see the lives that have been changed since we opened the doors in December 2007. We’ve have several to accept Christ, get baptized and experience addiction deliverance. God is moving! Recently, Pastor Keith and I tag-teamed a message on Sunday morning- that was fun. On Wednesday nights, I’m teaching the book of James and I have to say we’ve had some tough- but great lessons.
Family-
We’ve had 2 big birthdays recently. My daughter, Ally turned 16 and my son Jesse turned 18 in February. My kids light my world- all 3 of them are so different. Eric and Ally sang with me recently at a coffee shop concert and were GREAT!! Eric sang at First Centenary and did a great job there too. I’m so blessed to be supported and loved by my family and my parents, in-laws too!
Ally’s dance season is over (for a few weeks), Jesse is winding up his senior year and Austin is running HARD for the HMS track team. Jesse and Ally (and their dates) are going to the prom this weekend. WAH WAH WAH! Time flies!
Life is busy, but life is good. I’m looking forward to several concert dates this spring, Good Friday service, Easter, Spring Break and the Womens Walk to Emmaus, Prom, Graduation and so much more! Oh… and let’s NOT forget my birthday- wooooo hooooo! ( It’s March 30- thank you momma!) Please keep me in your prayers. Specifically for me to hear and obey the voice of the Spirit and to follow His leading! I believe in the power of prayer so if I can pray for you- please send me an email. Also… I love making new friends, so please join my fan page on Facebook and follow me on twitter for some fun. Maybe some day I’ll get twitter! lol More than anything, I am available if anyone should ever want to talk to me about your relationship with God. God loves you and desires a relationship with you. If I can introduce you to Jesus Christ or help you find your way back to Him, please send me an email. Take Care and God Bless You!
