More About Rhonda
As Rhonda matured in her faith, she felt the call to ministry in January 2006 and has been diligently preparing and serving since that time. Rhonda has completed many online classes through the church of the Nazarene earning six certificates in ministry.
As Rhonda prepared for ministry, she explored all of her natural gifts and talents. She sang soprano for LoveSong Trio for a couple of years, then took a staff position at Rock Pointe Church in 2007. In 2008, she received a ministry license and was ordained. At Rock Pointe, she serves as the Associate Pastor leading worship, directing the praise team, praise band and Children’s Ministries. Rhonda is an active member of the Chattanooga LaFayette Emmaus Community and serves as the community’s worship leader.
Rhonda launched “Mini-Music Ministries” in the fall of 2008. Mini Music is a Christian based preschool music appreciation program. She currently serves 5 preschools in the Chattanooga and surrounding areas.
Rhonda released her first solo project in 2009 entitled “Second Chances.” The album is 13 of Rhonda’s original songs produced by Steve Babb and Fred Schendel of Sound Resources. Song selections vary in style including Southern Gospel, Praise & Worship and Contemporary Christian. The song “Second Chances” was released on Patterson Promotions Compilation Disc Volume 4 and has been receiving nation-wide airplay. Rhonda’s next single “Come To Me” was released on Compilation Disc Volume 6 in August of 2011 with Patterson Promotions.
In addition to church and music ministry, Rhonda has an active writing ministry. She has had articles published in SGNScoops- magazine, SGNScoops.com, iLevite Magazine, The Gospel Scene and she has experimented with editing and ghost-writing professionally. In July 2011, Rhonda became the Editor in Chief for SGNScoops magazine. In the short time at SGNScoops, Rhonda has interviewed gospel greats such as: The Hoppers, Crawford Crossing, The Akins, The Mark Trammel Quartet, Doug Anderson, Wes Hampton, The Sisters, The Bowlings, The Isaacs, Triumphant Quartet, The Blackwood Brothers Quartet, Beyond The Ashes, Charlotte Ritchie, Libby Perry Stuffle, Jason Crabb, Ernie Haase and Signature Sound, Morgan Easter,Guy Penrod, and Gloria Gaither. Rhonda has quickly risen to leadership status within the Gospel Music Industry.
Rhonda is multi-talented. She sings, writes and speaks, but her greatest ministry is to minister to the Lord first and then her family. She is blessed by her husband (of 23 years) Eric and their three children- Jesse, Allison and Austin. The Fryes make their home in Ringgold, GA and are supported by family and many friends.
