Way to Go, Pastor Keith! :-) Book Release

I am very proud of my good friend, my pastor- Keith Jones! Little did we know several years ago sitting around a table at Books-A-Million dreaming about ministry that God would use us to break out of our boundaries and into the world in such creative ways! I released an album of music and now he’s released a book! :-) Keith and Nancy are dear to my heart- and as I said in my CD insert, they are the most generous people I know. I have seen them help sooooo many hurting people, strangers literally on the street more times than I can count. Keith has a heart of gold to help others and I am sooooo proud of him! :-) To order the book, go to: http://dkeithjones.com/

Awards! :-)

Recently, the Georgia Country Gospel Music Association hosted their annual awards show. It was quiet an impressive evening with great music, everyone dressed WAY up! :-) Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever seen an Awards Show- I vaguely remember watching maybe the CMA awards maybe when I was a teen, but that’s about it. So.. I didn’t really know what to expect. Honestly too, I sort of struggle with competitions, awards in general because I don’t want to EVER EVER EVER get to the place I seek that more than ministry. I have been sooooo surprised in the industry how much focus is on all that- not from GCGMA, just generally speaking… So… at the same time, it is nice for others to see and recognize when you’ve worked hard and it’s REALLY REALLY awesome when someone appreciates the songs that have come straight out of a song-writer’s heart.

I did receive some awards, and the songwriting ones are my favorites! :-) I know that I know that I know God gave me the lyrics and tune and led me to the sweetest & the most awesome producers in the world- Steve Babb and Fred Schendel! Steve & Fred took the treasures from my heart and help me create some awesome pieces of art- a reflection of God Himself! :-) “Second Chances” and “Come To Me” – song of the year… The album “Second Chances”- album of the year and I received the “Most Promising Female Vocalist of the Year” And… Eric, Ally and I received Mixed Vocal Group of the year! :-) It was truly a night to remember… In March, I will be going to Pigeon Forge to NACMAI- the Nationals. I am so thankful, because I really really know, without Christ I am totally nothing!
